Hazel took home a silver medal with her partner in the board rescue event, just missing out on the gold medal to Australia. Hazel also made the finals in all of the events she entered, both at the beach and in the pool. She finished 9th in the individual surf swim and had top 10 finishes in most events.

The Irish Junior Team, she is a part of, ranked 11th in the World across all the events. What an amazing achievement for Hazel.

She will be part of the Irish Junior team competing in both the pool and beach events. The championships will host countries from all around the world. Every two years the International Life Saving Federation organises the Lifesaving World Championships, showcasing excellence in lifesaving sports and rescue; attracting the most talented and skilled lifesaving athletes around the World to compete for the title of World’s best.”
