]]> World Book Day is celebrated by UNESCO on April 23, every year. April 23 is a symbolic date for world literature because on this date in 1616 that Cervantes, Shakespeare, and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega all died. Hence, the day was selected to pay tribute to the great literary figures. World Book and Copyright Day is a celebration to promote the enjoyment of books and reading and to recognize the scope of books – a link between the past and the future, a bridge between generations and across cultures.

Many of our brilliant teachers are well known education authors and we would like to take a moment to celebrate their achievements and their success in publishing books which aim to help students understanding across many different subjects.

]]> Congratulations to Richard Hogan, Head of 5th听year here in The 91制片厂 on the publication of his new book听Parenting the Screenager: A Practical Guide for听Parents of the Modern Child.听The book deals with the complicated topic of how to parent our tech-savvy teenagers and monitor their online lives. Children and young adults are spending more and more time on smartphones and other devices which can cause problems. This book aims to help parents monitor and influence the amount of time their children are spending on screens.

Richard appeared on Ireland AM over the weekend to talk about his book and the overall importance of screen-time boundaries. You can watch the interview听. Richard鈥檚 book is now available to purchase from bookstores and online.
