On Monday we celebrated a momentous occasion,ÌýtheÌýClassÌýof 2026ÌýgraduatedÌýatÌýUniversity College Dublin’sÌýprestigiousÌýO’Reilly Hall.ÌýIt was a wonderful day,ÌýblessedÌýwith spectacular weather,ÌýasÌýstudents were celebrated by teachers,ÌýfriendsÌýand families alike.Ìý

Graduation Day is one of the most important days in our academic year, as itÌýmarksÌýaÌýsignificantÌýmomentÌýinÌýeveryÌýstudent’s life,ÌýwhereÌýone chapterÌýcloses andÌýthe futureÌýlaysÌýwide open.ÌýThis day gives students the opportunity to reflect on theirÌýjourneyÌýwith us at The 91ÖÆƬ³§ÌýandÌýreflect onÌýtheÌýtremendousÌýpersonalÌý&ÌýacademicÌýgrowthÌýachievedÌýsince they first walked throughÌýourÌýyellow doors.ÌýÌý

TheÌýdayÌýwas filled with momentsÌýthat will stay with ourÌýstudents forÌýyears toÌýcome. Heartfelt speeches from teachersÌýand studentÌýrepresentativesÌýhighlightedÌýthe strongÌýrelationshipsÌýthat haveÌýbeen builtÌýwithin theÌýClassÌýof 2026,ÌýbothÌýin andÌýout of theÌýclassroom.Ìý

AcademicÌýAwardsÌýwereÌýalsoÌýpresentedÌýacrossÌýallÌýLeavingÌýCertificateÌýsubjects,ÌýaÌýphysicalÌýtokenÌýtoÌýacknowledgeÌýstudents whoÌýshowedÌýexceptionalÌýdedicationÌýandÌýaÌýpassion forÌýlearning.Ìý

Among theÌýmany deservingÌýstudentsÌýrecognisedÌýon theÌýday,ÌýtwoÌýawardsÌýcelebratedÌýexceptionalÌýcontributionsÌýtoÌýlifeÌýatÌýTheÌý91ÖÆƬ³§ÌýofÌýEducation.ÌýElviraÌýAswaniÌýwas namedÌýStudentÌýOfÌýTheÌýYearÌýfor herÌýoutstandingÌýacademicÌýachievements,ÌýdeterminationÌýandÌýmotivationÌýthroughoutÌýher timeÌýat the school.ÌýWhilst ourÌýsecondÌýaward,ÌýStudent ContributorÌýOfÌýTheÌýYear,Ìýwas presented to Ho Bao Phong Le,ÌýwhoseÌýkindness,ÌýencouragementÌýand support to fellow studentsÌýhelped foster aÌýpositive and upliftingÌýschoolÌýenvironment.Ìý

This year’s graduationÌýwasÌýspecial asÌýweÌýtookÌýtheÌýtime toÌýrecogniseÌýsomeÌýofÌýourÌýlongestÌýservingÌýteachers;ÌýtheseÌýeducatorsÌýhave guided and helped studentsÌýtoÌýachieveÌýtheir goalsÌýhereÌýforÌýmoreÌýthanÌý20Ìýyears.ÌýAnne-MarieÌýWalsh,ÌýKeithÌýHannigan,ÌýTaraÌýLyons,ÌýWilliam Murphy,ÌýCaroleÌýOiknine,ÌýOliverÌýMurphy,ÌýJean Kelly,ÌýSeanÌýDelapÌý&ÌýCian HoganÌýwere each presented with an award for theirÌýunwaveringÌýcommitment to the school andÌýourÌýstudents.ÌýTheir dedicationÌýcontinues to shape and inspire generations.Ìý

Monday marked a memorable occasion as we proudly celebrated the Class of 2025 at the University College Dublin’s O’Reilly Hall. Throughout the day, students were cheered on by proud families, friends, and teachers.

Graduation Day is always a highlight in our school calendar—a moment to pause, reflect, and recognise the extraordinary journeys of our students. This year was no exception. From academic excellence to personal growth, the Class of 2025 has shown remarkable resilience, dedication, and ambition.

Among those honoured were two 6th Year students who truly stood out. Ai Lin Sun received the Student of the Year award and the Student Contributor of the Year award was presented to Nare Paronyan.

The day was filled with moments to remember, including thoughtful and inspiring speeches from the school team and teachers, students and very special guests. Academic Award winners from across all Leaving Certificate subjects were also acknowledged, each one a reflection of the strong work ethic and passion for learning that defines our school community.

This year’s graduation also paid recognition to some of our longest-serving teachers—educators whose dedication has shaped the lives of thousands of students over the decades. Aidan Roantree (39 years), Orla Ní Shuilleabháin (40 years), Corinne Gavenda (40 years), Pat Doyle (44 years), and Arthur Russell (47 years) were each honoured for their outstanding service to the school and students. Their commitment to excellence is deeply woven into the fabric of The 91ÖÆƬ³§.

We were also delighted to welcome special guests from our wider Dukes Education family, Aatif Hassan, Founder and Chairman, and Johnathan Cuff, Director of Colleges. Their presence highlighted the strength of our shared educational values and connection to the broader Dukes Education family that we are proud to be part of.

Congratulations to the 6th Year Class of 2025. We are proud of all you have achieved, and we look forward to seeing where your talents and ambition will take you next.

Hosted on the day by Hugh Brett, 4th Year Head, students and parents were addressed by Yvonne O’ Toole, Principal and Liam Dingle 6th Year Head and Deputy Principal. There were also reflections from members of the academic team and students from the Class of 2023.

Graduating students were presented with specially commissioned 91ÖÆƬ³§ medals and our Academic Award winners received a limited edition engraved pen. Students also received copies of our school yearbook Reflections 2022-2023.

We also had two very special awards this year for two of our outstanding students.

Guests were also treated to some incredible musical performances and renditions of The Parting Glass, Be Good, and Mr. Blue SkyÌýby our Choir.
